As I enter into my eighty second year, which is hard for me to comprehend, I am determined to explore my impressions for my own satisfaction and a guide for others on the same journey. All my life I have had goals and aspirations, deadlines and expectations to fulfill. What lies before me now is unknown and its duration is unfathomable. Recently I have lost numerous friends and family members unexpectedly. I have passed the lifetime of my father. I have updated my will. I have published fourteen books on various Christian subjects. What is left for me to accomplish is a mystery. By reflection and awareness there is value in taking the time to record what has been and what will be, what would be productive to achieve before my physical and mental faculties deteriorate further.

What subjects should I cover? Acceptance of limitations. Cultivation of spiritual vocation. Enjoying intellectual stimulation. Simplifying possessions. Understanding a historical perspective. Avoiding obsession with physical health and medical intervention. Gratitude for blessings. Contemplation of career achievements. Appreciation of the lives of others. Finding healing and forgiveness from wounds either self-inflicted or malevolence. Taking pleasure in nature, food, entertainment and sport. Understanding love as service and sacrifice, unselfishness and humility. Confession, absolution, redemption and salvation. Facing mortality and entering into eternal life.

If you have any subjects you would like me to explore, please let me know soon.
